I did not expect to fall into the hype with this one, as I don't read many romances, I picked this one up as a lighter read when I was ill and absolutely devoured it. This is so much more than I expected.
I think going into this knowing as little as possible is great but just know the characters are great, the storyline is realistic and layered and the story touches on more serious topics in a meaningful way. A must-read for anyone with even the slightest curiosity in it.
Really it is a great introduction to the genre and one I read pretty much in one sitting, its fast paced and easy to read however I admit the writing style will not be to everyone's taste. The characters have such realistic lives and problems that you cannot help but route for them, and even though you know the outcome from the beginning the ride is so worth it to get to the end. Highly recommend.
