It's only taken me a few days to read this book and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a bright and easy read! It has both wit and humour, as well as characters with depth and history. I'm not a simple chicklit kind of girl so this suited me perfect!
The cover (cute design) and tagline suggest what's coming in the story line but the predictability does not take away from the enjoyment of getting to know the characters and hear their (individually written) story; as well as the handful of side plots which were a joy. Holly and Prior to name a few!
Some sensitive subjects are more than touched upon in different layers throughout, and this adds real authenticity and depth to the story and characters. I felt it was done with tact and realism - it made me think, quite a bit, and that's a great compliment for any book!
I really enjoyed the originality of the story line as well as its colourful (not unlike Tiffy's wardrobe!) personality and easy to read writing style. The characters are believable and the story plausible - the split protagonist set up means you get to know both main characters and its perfect in this instance. The speed is just right and the ending is what we all need and deserve of a book like this!
