I am not one for a 'chick lit' or modern romance as they struggle to keep my attention that is until I read the flat share and my opinion has changed.

My review will not give any spoilers or give anything away in relation to the plot but this book was a welcomed addition to my reading pile and a breath of fresh air through the lockdown period.

The plot was easy to follow, uplifting and not too far fetched. I found myself getting excited to the lead up of cross over time between the two charactersand how the friendship would develop without meeting each other.

The characters were charming and likeable and I enjoyed that the leads were not complete polar opposites making their journey lovely to be part of. Their friends and family members were not over the top and the whole book was a joy to read.

I am excited to read the next book by Beth O'Leary and will be recommending the flat share to my family and friends.
