Amazing! Just what I needed for a holiday read - complete escapism. I totally agree with the other reviews of this book. It is funny, heartwarming and not at all difficult read.
It makes such a difference when the characters are so likeable too; it really helped me to relate to them. Tiffy is more outgoing and is very funny whereas Leon is quieter and a man of few words. The way each character speaks is reflected in the book with Tiffy’s sections being longer and Leon’s much shorter.
As well as being great ‘chick-lit’, it also touches on some important issues very sensitively, such as domestic violence and PTS.
Overall this is a great debut novel. I am looking forward to reading more from Beth O’Leary.
