What a great and engaging story it was. I didn't expect to like this book as mush as I did. I just went in looking for some distraction but ended up loving it and I think this story landed in my top 10 favourite contemporary romance stories.
I found characters very real and relatable and by the end of the book I felt like I knew them so well as if they were my long term friends. Character development in the books are my priority and I hate when you find a story were main protagonist start behaving completely out of the character. It's the biggest pet peeve for me.
The pacing of the story was just perfect. I didn't feel bored nor rushed reading this book and I found things happening naturally and not a bit forced. Characters mood's changes felt authentic and matched to the events happening in the story, it felt very realistic.
This is the first book I have read from this author but I definitely will be looking out for more from Beth as I really enjoyed her writing style. I would recommend this book to anyone that likes contemporary romance or those who are looking for a light and easy comfort read.
