Tiffy needs a cheap flat in order to escape her emotionally abusive ex-boyfriend, Leon works nights and is in desperate need of cash to help imprisoned brother. The person solution to each other’s problems, the only catch they need to share a bed without ever meeting. As Tiffy comes to terms with her past, and Leon tries hard to change his future the pair grow close, but the path to happiness is never easy.

This is a sweet, heartwarming and predictable chic-lit, this is so easy to read. However, this doesn’t mean that Beth O’Leary cut corners, the characters are relatable, loveable and have strong arcs, the twists are drama-filled and somewhat surprising, and O’Leary is able to flawlessly touch on difficult subjects without bringing the story down.

Overall I really enjoyed this novel, it made me laugh, audibly gasp and smile from ear to ear. It was such a new and refreshing idea to most of the chic-lits I have previously read. I’d recommend this novel for someone who is looking for an easy read, enjoys chic-lits, and likes strong character-driven plots.
