Tiffy is in desperate need for a cheap flat quickly and Leon works nightshifts and is in need of some extra money. That is now Tiffy and Leon end up sharing a flat, and a bed, without ever meeting. Tiffy leaves for work before Leon gets home and arrives home after Leon has left again. They start leaving post-it notes for each other with simple statements about leftover food or cleaning. These notes become more detailed and their relationship grows.
This book was wonderful! It is not your typical romance and as someone who isn’t usually a fan of romance books, I thoroughly enjoyed this one! The author explores some heavy topics including emotional abuse, gaslighting and systemic racism relating to the criminal justice system.
I found this a very realistic telling of a developing romantic relationship and therefore I was able to fully connect to the characters!
