The Flatshare is a heartwarming chick-lit/romance story that follows Tiffy and Leon who share a flat and a bed but have never met. I felt Tiffy is a fun, brave and confident character whereas Leon is quiet and took longer to open up. I liked how little notes were left for each other in the flat as a way of communicating. I liked how they formed a bond and connected without having met each other.
The language of the book was easy to follow. The chapters are told from each characters perspective, and I felt you could feel the chemistry and emotions from both sides. I connected with the characters and felt their emotions throughout the book.
There is some elements of abuse but I felt there was a good balance between the serious and funny parts.
This was my first read from Beth O'Leary and it certainly will not be my last. Definitely 5 stars from me. On the hunt for thus authors other books.
