Not my usual choice of genre, but I had to give it a go purely because of all the hype I’d seen on insta! And it did not disappoint. Endearing, honest, and funny, this story was a far cry from my usual reads, but it has opened my eyes to the rom-com genre. I loved the characterisation of the empowered females and the emotionally available men. Tiffy and Leon’s story felt so wholesome - it’s one of those stories that makes you smile all the way through. I found it a really easy read too, so I flew through it quickly. Perfect for a summer/beach read too. The writing was so accessible and it was just a pleasure to read! That being said, it’s not one that will stay in my memory forever, more of a nice easy read without too much sadness, etc. I do like a book that plays on the emotions! And while this was romantic, it wasn’t overly emotional or heart-wrenching.
