Flatshare is a well-written, heartwarming tale of unexpected yet endearing romance. Although I expected a more conventional romance, the plot line explored more poignant topics in a necessary seriousness that did not detract from the overall lightheartedness of the novel. Creating a novel that presents a more realistic portrayal of a romance, yet still leaves the reader with that fuzzy feeling we all search for within a romance/chick-lit.

O'Leary writes in a manner that is both effective and easy to follow, allowing for a truly captivating read that grips the reader with every last word. It is no surprise that I devoured the novel within only a day.

Personally, I found the character development of Tiffy the most captivating aspect. It is refreshing to see a character experience the realisation that many of us experience within our lifetime. The characters are all well-thought out, multifaceted and most certainly gain the readers affection and support. Tiffy is quirky, clever, relatable character whilst Leon a more serious, almost timid, yet caring figure- an unexpected but deserving pair.

Overall, It is a Chick-lit worth reading!
