I’m not usually a huge Chick-Lit fan, but this is definitely highly rated amongst the ones I’ve read.
I really enjoyed the characters in this one, we’ve got Tiffy who’s a bit quirky and is confident in herself which I love in a FMC. And then we’ve got Leon who was a very well rounded character also! The chemistry between these two characters was fire! This book has definitely set an expectation for any books I read after this, because the dynamic in this was everything.
I really like that it highlighted issues about gaslighting and abuse, but kept the lighthearted feel too so we didn’t start to feel emotionally exhausted while reading these themes. They’re such important themes to include, but sometimes it can be mentally draining but it’s tackled in a great manner in this read!
Overall it’s a sweet, funny book and I obviously now need to read more chick-lit!
