This isn't my usual genre so I was hesitant going in, however I was very quickly drawn into the lives of the characters and invested in their unique relationship. I was desperate to see how it would develop as the book progressed. There were a few instances where I was frustrated and annoyed with the characters, especially when they were in situations that could have been resolved just with communication but unlike most other books I've read in this genre, it didn't detract from the rest of the book for me. I enjoyed this so much that I've already bought a copy for a few of my friends, even ones who don't read and they have also enjoyed the premise and want to try more from this author. She writes so well and grips avid readers, non readers, contemporary enthusiasts and those usually adverse to the genre alike. I highly recommend this to anyone even if it doesn't seem like your usual cup of tea.
