I think this is one of the best books I’ve read this year. It was one of those reads where I wanted everyone I know to read it too.

Following a nasty break up, Tiffy is desperate to get out of her ex’s flat. She sees an advert for a flat share- great location, within her budget. The catch? There’s only one bed, which means Tiffy will be sharing the bed with her new flat mate, Leon. Luckily with their conflicting schedules, Leon and Tiffy will never be in the bed at the same time, and there are strict rules about the side of the bed they can each sleep on!

The two become friends, leaving notes to each other every day. Inevitably, eventually, they have a hilarious, unexpected meeting, and their fate is sealed.

I loved that this was not just a romance novel, but also challenged some very serious themes (prison, acceptance, gaslighting) and with all the characters being so relatable, it really helped me to believe in their stories.

I think everyone wants a Leon, but perhaps also everyone wants a Tiffy. Eccentric, awkward and realistic love at its best.

I devoured this book in two days and then suffered the inevitable book hangover where I pined after the book for the following two days too.
