This was so cute and sweet! The premise is a little hard to believe at first, and I was not a fan of the writing style for Leon, but I was able to get over that once the main characters began interacting and we learn more about their background stories. The romance is very fluffy and wholesome - a wonderful reprieve to balance how the story is rooted in serious topics (healing from an emotionally abusive relationship and dealing with a family member in prison). I appreciated that the romance took over a long period of time and allowed room for friendship first. I also appreciated how both protagonists had their own personal and independent lives. Their relationship wasn’t the center of the universe for them; they simply made each other better. It made me feel so soft!
