I decided to purchase this book after reading ‘The Switch’ by the same author and it most definitely lived up to my expectations.
The first character introduced to the story, Tiffy, is a witty character who immediately draws you into the story. I especially liked the split narrative that Beth O’Leary uses in her novels as it is clear which character is which so it makes it much easier to follow along with. The story never felt like it was lacking in detail or that the pace of the writing was too fast or too slow.
The story lines was incredibly enticing which made it feel like it could go on forever without seeming too repetitive.
The romance side of the novel was definitely needed in the storyline however it didn’t feel like it over powered the issues at hand.
Would definitely recommend to readers who enjoy contemporary literature that is a fast pace read.
