Wow this book took me by surprise for sure!
It really isn’t my usual genre or a book I would be compelled to pick up, but I’m so very glad I did!
I felt connected and invested in the main characters, Tiffy and Leon, and found myself really hoping things turned out well for them both.
It was different to the types of books I usually read but definitely made me think I should make a more conscious effort to step out of my genre comfort zone and explore new books!
I loved the storyline and thought it was a very original take on a typical chic lit/romantic book. I always imagine romances to be mushy and soppy but I loved this he humour in this one and just thought it was written really well. I struggled to put this book down and ended up reading it in just over a day.
I will definitely recommend this book to everyone I know and I am eager to pick up more of Beth O’Leary’s books!
