This book got me out of a reading slump and reignited my passion for reading. It's an easy read contemporary romance novel but it touches on tougher issues in a heart-warming way.
It's told from dual perspectives and I think it's very cleverly done. The chapters alternated between the two main characters and they each have their own narration style. Some people have said that they struggled with Leon's narrative but I think it is written perfectly to suit the character's personality.
I also think that this was a unique take on how the characters fall for each other through their notes to each other without actually meeting for quite some time.
Beth O'Leary's writing style and storytelling really captivated me and I've since gone on to read her second novel The Switch and enjoyed it too. I hope to read her 3rd book soon and look forward to her next one being released in 2022
