The Floating Theatre is an easy read that goes straight into the story. You're introduced to plain little May and her cousin Comfort who she travels with. When something goes wrong on their journey May gets her first taste of freedom and though she goes back to her cousin, you know she's bound to move on.
This could turn out to be a very interesting book but it's not one you get much history to in the available preview but I feel like that must change further in. But as it is the character focus is appealing as you easily lose yourself in the story and want to read on.
