I bought this book on a whim a little while ago because the cover was just so beautiful, and I have only just read it. I regret putting it off for so long. The cover is just so beautiful I'm glad I 'judged a book by its cover'. Conway takes us back to the 1800's, the tale following a young seamstress (May Bedloe) who's left alone and penniless on the shore of the Ohio. May finds work on a famous floating theater. For the sake of a debt that must be repaid, May is compelled to transport secret passenger and as her secret become mutch harder to hide, she endangers people she holds dear to her heart. The book was written as beautifully as the cover. It was exciting, romantic and just a great read. The character development was *chefs kiss* every character had a unique story to tell. I'm so glad that I read this book and I urge others to as well!!!!!!!!!!!
