This story starts off great and I’d love to read the rest of it. It has it all: murder, intrigue, a rocky relationship, characters with shady pasts and a murky mysterious trade.
The writing is brilliant, there is a haunting simile that particularly struck me, comparing a pair of severed hands to a pair of wings.
