I am absolutely wowed by the cover of this book, but I was not immediately as taken with the writing. I can't quite decide... I think the story is capturing, but the characters are not immediately gripping. I'm also a little confused, is this a reprint? Goodreads shows that this book and it's sequel have been out for some years, so I'm a little thrown off by that.
