Loved the first sentence “ They never found his hands “ How could you not be drawn in after that? I like a good mystery and this is a literary one to boot. Perfect. The character of the narrator, an unrepentant forger, flaws and all is engaging. Some awkward phrasing but this is a writer I could take a lot more of. Will need to look into his other books as well. If this had been the whole book I would still be reading
