We arrive at the death of Adam Deihl, a recluse, seeming to have been attacked in a very inhumane way, but not yet killed, it seems like the attacker wanted Adam to be aware of the loss of his hands, his "talent".

The story is being told from the veiwpoint of Will, a forger himself back in the day, there is no love lost between Adam and Will as Meg is keen to point out...

There has been no trace of the attacker, no belongings taken, just what seems to be the forgery's destroyed.

As the extract continues, you begin to ask yourself, just who was Adam Deihl? Who wanted to hurt him? Why was the relationship between Will and Adam non existent...

As a book lover, I'm impressed with the Conan Doyle and Shakespeare references, a lot of detail has gone into the plot and the writing style has awoken my imagination and brought the story to life.
