I normally like thriller/suspense books but the first impression for this book didn't grab me. The cover makes the book seem more like a historical novel than a modern thriller and I'm not sure it'd tempt me to pick up this book.
The extract started well but began to feel a bit long-winded as I got further in. I didn't really connect with the characters or enjoy the narrative in the way that I had hoped.
