A book whose opening line is "they never found his hands" is not going to be scared of going into dark place and although I was upset that someone was murdered I found myself even more upset that the killer also destroyed a load of precious books and manuscripts. I am not sure what that says about me. There are hundreds of crime novels published each month but for some reason The Forgers stands out as one to be read.
