A different book than I expected.
When I first started this book with its dynamic first line "they never found his hands" I was hooked. I expected a fast moving murder mystery. It is not just that it is a look into how forgeries are implemented it is about paranoia it is multi layered to be sure.
Will our hero though a more obnoxious hero I have never met is a narcissist who I felt was incapable of thinking about anything or anyone else. I certainly felt he was incapable of the love he professes.
The story follows the life of Will whose life is changed by the murder of a fellow rare book collector Adam who happens to be the brother of his girlfriend Meghan.
It starts with a quick pace at the beginning explains how forgeries are planned and executed and gives us a glimpse into the World of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle seemed a bit repetitive in the middle but picked up again towards the conclusion.
It is interesting for true book lovers. Also I didn't see what would happen in the end!
