Bit of a slow burner

I really fancied this one from the write up about it but was a little disappointed.
It sounded fantastic but I found it quite a slow burner, it took basically the whole book to warm up and only within the last few pages you basically got the whole point of the whodunnit scenario.
I loved the idea of a thriller set in the rare book dealers world but it just centred around Will and his paranoia of anonymous letters due to his shady past as a book forger.
Quite a short read but still not all that much happened overall.
A real shame it didn’t live up to the premise of the blurb.
I’m sure some will appreciate the story but sadly not my cup of tea.
Not an awful story just not one of the most exciting I have read in the thriller genre overall.
Kind of middle of the road read.
I did research and there is a sequel due out about the daughter in the novel so maybe a lot of things and unanswered questions will be addressed in that one.
