Whilst loving books, I know very little about the rare book word, collecting or forgery. But this book certainly opened up this world and provided an interesting backdrop to the story. Who'd have thought old books could lead to such murkines and goings on!
This was a fairly quick and easy read, and the story itself moved along quite nicely to its conclusion. I found the locations well described and brought the plot to life. The same can be said for the characters, who were interesting and I felt quite invested in.
I felt the book cover could have been more interesting and would perhaps put some people off. As despite being about the rare book world, it's still also a murder mystery and the cover could perhaps reflect this more.
Overall, I enjoyed this book. There was enough engaging plot, description and interesting characters to keep me invested. A decent read if you like a slightly different murder mystery/thriller.
