A gentle read with a twist.
Firstly, I always like to read a book about a subject of which I know little and in this case the world of rare book collecting and associated forgery is a subject of which I am unfamiliar. I also enjoy following the geography of book and was very interested by the locations used within this book, especially Kenmare, having been there in my previously.
This book was a shorter read and I enjoyed the fact that this book potters along at a comfortable pace despite some of the dark subjects that occur. However I especially enjoyed the unpredictable finale of the book, as it changed the pace of the read and made for a thrilling end to the book.
Having read the book, I don’t think the cover did justice to the writing within.
Overall, I enjoyed reading this book and would recommend it to people who like something a little different.
