I liked this book in the beginning it had a lot of potential and if I were a beginner reader I’d have liked it a bit more but I’m used to the plots and twists in books that it didn’t surprise me as much as it should’ve. It didn’t have that element of surprise that I like. The writing style was very eloquent and it did pull me in a few times but for some reason I found it hard to push through. The concept of the book was really good with how it was set up with the fast action paced murder but i was easily able to guess who the culprit was. Also the narrator of the book was very confusing and it was hard to know what he was actually thinking and he did give off some weird vibes and it made him a bit of an unreliable narrator. The characters weren’t very likeable and I had no emotional attachment to any of them. The ending is very spelt out to you so even I didn’t finish the book I could’ve guessed the direction it was going.
