This novel took a little while to get in to but did improve as l read further in to the story. There was a little mystery and suspense and a love story. There was also a bit of how far would you go to protect the person you love. None of the characters really stood out to me though. I liked the fact it was set in America and Ireland and it showed that sometimes - no matter how far you travel you cannot get away from your mistakes , problems or what you have done in your past life. I don,t know if l would read anything from this author before but again . The novel did get better the more you read but wasn't one that kept me gripped or completely enthralled. Maybe reading another novel from this author will be a good idea as l wouldn't want to write an author off on the basis of one novel and as l have previously mentioned the novel did improve the further in to the story you got.
