The Forgers is the first book written by Bradford Morrow that I have read and despite the promising sypnosis I found it rather mundane.

Told in the first person it features the death of a book collector which impacts on the lives of his sister and her lover who is an ex literary forger.

The story shows the impact on their two lives as the ex forger starts to receive threatening and strange messages from someone who clearly knows secrets about the ex forger and the murder victim.

The author clearly knows his way around the book collecting world and this shows throughout the book. Unfortunately the storyline seemed to just muddle along without going anywhere for a lot of the time and none of the main characters grabbed my attention or made me want to invest in them.

The Forgers felt like a large missed opportunity and not a book I would look to recommend
