Not what I was expecting

I enjoyed this book but it wasn't what I was expecting. I had in mind that this would be more of a thriller or more focused on the police investigation rather than the lives of the victims sister and main character.
While I enjoyed that the book was set in the rare book world (making a change to the usual settings) it didn't draw me in as much as I was expecting and I found it hard to relate to the world/lives of the characters involved.
The plot itself was fast paced, starting with the murder on the first page. This did draw me in for a while but I found myself getting fed up with the main characters moral quandary and personal issues. I didn't see the plot twist coming and then final few chapters were tense however the ending itself was pretty flat. The real murderer is exposed but nothing more comes of it and by this time I found that I didn't really care who did it anyway as I didn't feel attached to the victim or his family. Overall it was a good read but not what I was hoping for or expecting.
