The books narrator is extremely arrogant and snobby, though does get the job done in the end, its off putting for people who do not like a specific type of narrative, its unreliable and it reminds me of someone who just wants to get the story finished and done with, without putting much effort into the story that they were writing. There was a lack of character development, and like they were never fully finished, as the plot and character descriptions are flat it feels like the plot is useless and just dragging on. However, I did enjoy the twists and turns of this book, like every book I read there are some pros and some cons to every one. Unfortunately however these cons do outweigh the pros, like the opening sentence of "they never found his hands” would be a pretty thrilling mystery. Not so much in this case. The murder hovers in the background like an omnipresent shadow that you expect will be drawn back into the main story at any moment. Which concludes the review that I leave.
