My tummy did a little somersault when I saw this title come up for the drawer. Why?. Because I'm a histfic nerd and Stacey Halls created quite a buzz with the Familiars. My tummy started wrenching some more as I began to read the sneak preview. Actually, no, it wasn't my tummy so much as my heart . That opening describing in such detail the procedures and emotions for the leaving of a baby at the Foundling Hospital was enough to make your eyes leak. But leaving emotion aside it's an interesting and tantalising premise to begin a book with. Give me more. Please?!
