I haven't actually read The Familiars yet, but this extract of The Foundling has be totally hooked on Hall's writing. The style is so beautiful, it carries me away to a completely different world. The story sounds so intriguing too, from this opening I'm already invested in the narrator's and Clara's lives. Definitely want to read this book!!
