First of all, although I try not to buy a book on its cover alone, the cover for The Foundlings is absolutely stunning. Also, historical fiction is one of my favourite genres, one with strong female characters is a bonus and this book sound like it has just that. A story comprising secrecy, motherhood and some mystery sounds right up my street. I would love to get my hands on a copy!
