Like The Familiars, this has the feel of a book you can curl up in

From the matching artwork on the book cover to the opening chapters, this is more of the same from Stacey Halls. Let me clarify, this is NOT a bad thing. Rather, reading this feels like a homecoming of sorts....relaxing and comforting with just enough undercurrent of of melancholy and tension to keep me reading. Preparing to free up a day in my diary to read the full text in one sitting when it becomes available and already invested in Bess and Clara's story.
