I enjoyed this first impression. It was easy to feel familiar with the characters quite quickly. I'm intrigued to find out who has claimed Clara from the Foundling Hospital, and why. I'd also like to find out how Bess manages to get herself into a position where she feels that she is able to reclaim her child, and indeed if she actually manages to track her daughter down. And, who is the child's father? What happened to him? So many questions.....!
