Reading the beginning of this book I feel hooked already. As a new mum myself I can clearly remember the pain and emotion that the main character Bess was going through at the start of the book. Having to leave her child behind must have been absolutely heartbreaking and I can’t wait to read on about her quest to be reunited with her daughter.
