I loved this book as much as I loved 'The Familiars', and have waited patiently for Stacey Halls to bring out this book, and it was definitely worth the wait.
From both books I have learned something which has made me want to know more and found myself googling once I had finished to learn more about the history behind it.
The writing was beautiful and descriptive and it really makes you feel as if you are living in that time. It was really well written and researched.
I loved the cover of this book, and flew through this book in a couple of days as I just couldn't put it down.
I was drawn in to Bess's character and found her very likeable and you could sympathize with her.
