I absolutely loved Stacey Hall's debut novel - The Familiars. It was actually one of my favourite reads of 2019 and I read a lot of books last year. Stacey has a fantastic way of drawing me in from the very beginning, her writing is so gripping and beautiful that I just could not stop reading it. This book was no different as I found myself completely hooked in from the synopsis, and then the very first page had me thoroughly gripped. I can't actually decide which of her two books is my favourite, because both of them are so brilliant. I honestly think Stacey has one of my all-time favourite writing styles. It just flows and reads so beautifully. I cannot wait to see what comes next from her.
