I was drawn into the narrative straight away and wanted to read more of it, I can see that this one could become highly addictive! Is it this heartbreaking all the way through?!
I found the relationship between Bessie and Abe intriguing and I really look forward to discovering more of Bessie and Clara's future story, individually and if they are able to reconnect (I hope they are)

The front cover is stunning too, it really appeals to me. I think it has a sense of mystery and period to it.
I've read one of Stacey Halls' books before and thoroughly enjoyed it. I would recommend her to fans of Hilary Mantel.
