I just finished reading this book. I loved this easy to read, compelling story with some heart breaking scenes. I am just contemplating whether to read Stacey's second novel. Maybe after a break I will.
I found myself looking forward to reading the next chapter. Always a good sign when I read a book as quickly as I did this one.
I enjoyed the variety of characters from Fleetwood to Alice and Roger. Even Puck the dog had a big part to play in the plot!
The cover and blurb are appealing and are in keeping with the themes of the novel. I was unsure if I was going to enjoy this book but I am trying to read a wider variety of books, both fiction and non-fiction and this novel did not disappoint.
