I loved the authors previous work and so I bought this and I cannot say I am disappointed!!!!! The writing style is simple but beautiful and it’s a real page Turner that I love so so much I demolished in just a few days. It kept me constantly on the edge of my seat and kept me up all night. I thought that the cover was beautiful and the artwork really symbolised the contents of the book. I really sympathised with the main character and found myself rooting for her wanting to shout at the pages. It evoked some real emotion on me. The description of setting and characters was really done and beautiful and I found it a pleasure to read and very flowery in language but slightly darker in contents which offered a beautiful originality in an over saturated market full of unoriginal works definitely made me want to pick up more historical fiction in the future.
