Stacey has done it again!
I absolutely adore Stacey Hall’s writing, and fell in love with it after reading The Familiars.
I don’t often say that a book is a page turner, but yet again, I couldn’t put this one down!
Again, everything is deliciously historically accurate, with a few changes (it is a work of fiction after all), but it truly shows the authors ability to research and preserve accuracy. Makes for a beautiful read that lives up to the expectation of her first novel - but this time, tackling Georgian England.
To be completely honest, I don’t want to reveal any more of the plot besides what is said in the blurb, I went into it knowing nothing about what the book contains and was pleasantly surprised and enthralled. I recommend any other reader do the same!
Excellent.
