I actually expected this book to be written much more similarly to atonement, genuinely expecting bit to enjoy it. To my pleasant surprise it's wonderfully written,focusing on the feelings and lives of civilians affected by war rather than those on the frontline. It seems like it's going ot be a bit of a mystery to find out more about April's roots which sounds great.
