I really enjoyed historical fiction and therefore was really looking forward to reading this book about a G.I nurse. More specially as a nurse myself, I really enjoy reading about nursing in the past and the trials they had to go through to look after their patients.
This book did not disappoint. It is written brilliantly so that it is easy to read and it is a joy to follow the characters throughout the book. It seems to follow historical facts pretty well with a lovely and endearing story line.
I feel that this book should be read by anyone who enjoys the genre of historical fiction. It is a heart warming story which is a quick page turner. I really enjoyed the authors style of writing and I would like to read more of this authors work. The reason I gave it a 4 stars rather than a 5 is because I feel the characters could have had further development.
