What a super read. It is everything I would want in a book. It's set in Cornwall and Truro during world war 2. The setting is just wonderfully described. Having visited before I can build a picture in my mind of the comings and goings in this book.
World war 2 stories are always emotional, and love stories were abundant in this time period. However we never grow tired of reading about the ones with happy endings.
The idea of a girl who lost her father and now is a nurse who looks for him, is such an amazing book idea and I think it's amazing.
The author manages to develop the characters so well, you can empathise with what they are going through and are praying for things to work out for them all.
