This looks to be pitched as a fast-paced easy read, the kind of thing that you’d read on holiday. It’s certainly not a work of great literature, but as a lightweight thriller to be enjoyed in the sunshine while reclining with a long cool drink I think it would go down quite well.
The good/bad twin angle has been done to death in fiction so it will be interesting to see how it plays out here. Neither Iris nor Summer come across as particularly appealing or sympathetic characters but there is enough hinted at regarding the family dynamics to make you want to read on.
